Upon completion of this spell, the caster smashes the hourglass material component, and creates a burst of temporal rifts that begin on his location and spread outward as a spherical burst. Each creature in the area of effect experiences a “trembling of reality” as temporal rifts wash over them like sheets of rain. Creatures in the area of effect may choose to willingly enter a rift, but those who wish to resist can do so with a successful Will Save. The caster is unaffected by this spell, but may choose to enter a temporal rift instead of taking a move action in the same round as the spell is cast.
Creatures that make their will save suffer 1d6 piercing damage as their organs are a bit scrambled, but are otherwise unaffected.
Creatures that enter, or are caught by temporal rifts are propelled into the future 1d6+1 round per HD of the creature. Creatures are also shifted in space. When the creature re-appears roll 1d10 to decide the direction of movement (2 forward, 8 backward, 5 same square, 10 directly up). The creature moves 5ft per hd of the caster. If a creature is pushed into a solid object, they take damage as falling the unmoved distance (1d6 per 10ft of distance).
The material component for this spell is an hourglass (worth 20gp or more), which is smashed during the casting.
