This spell conjures upon a willing recipient (or the caster) oversized claws magical ice that cover the hands or claws of the creature (or caster). The magical ice allows the enspelled creature to make claw attacks instead of unarmed attacks. The enspelled creature is considered armed, and may attack with each claw at its highest BAB once each round (crit on 20, x2 damage). The razor sharp ice claws increase the unarmed strike damage (or claw damage) of the creature by one step (1d6 becomes 1d8, etc)., additionally, the ice claws have the magical “Frost” property, and deal an additional 1d6 cold damage on a successful hit.
While a creature’s hands are encased in Ice Claws, it cannot cast spells with stomatic components, or conduct other delicate tasks. The caster can end this spell by silent act of will. The enspelled creature can end this spell by using a full round action to smash the icy claws together, destroying them in the process.
The spell component for this spell is a hand sized chunk of ice which is consumed in the casting.
