This spell allows the caster to target a single creature’s limb (arm, leg, tentacle, etc.- but no head), and attempt to use magic to freeze it solid, rending it permanently useless (though creatures with regeneration can still rip their limb off and regrow one) as well as deal 3d6 cold damage. As the spell begins to take effect, the target creature may be able to shake off some of the spell, retaining the use of their limb, instead only suffering 3d6 cold damage without suffering loss of limb.
The spell component for this spell is a handsized chunk of ice, and a severed toe or finger. Both are consumed in the casting of the spell.
